Recomendation Supermodel PC

Postby mos6581 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:09 pm

Hello folks,
I´m nooby and want to know which pc configuration you can recommend me to play
ridgeracer, leMans and daytona USA 2

I want to build it in an ITX Mini PC Case.
I have PS3 compatible steering wheels and pedals and want to link 2 devices via ethernet.

At the moment I don´t know which Intel CPU and Graphicscard would be enough to play.

Regards
mos

I don't know much about mini-ITX compatible graphics cards. I suspect any i7 or even most of the i5 CPUs should be sufficient. And any graphics card made within the past 2-4 years should be fine. Perhaps others can chime in re: i5 CPUs?

That's unfortunately something I don't know too much about but I am sure it is possible to built a mini-ITX system capable of running Supermodel without too much difficulty. I'm always hesitant to recommend parts because I would hate to accidentally make a bad recommendation. :/

I'm still using an i5 2500k, and until support for it was dropped, I had a Radeon HD 6870. This aged combo was overkill for Supermodel at 1920x1080, to be honest. Could probably get away with an i3 and a budget card, but I haven't tried.

My 8 year old laptop is plenty enough for Supermodel at 1920x1200, but it was also billed as a workstation laptop, so there is that.

The first time I got a gaming pc I used for supermodel I used a i5 2400 and a GeForce gt430 card. ran full speed at 1080p. Which are both pretty old lol.
My pc:
OS Windows 10 home
Proccessor Intel core i7 6700K @ 4.0 TB @ 4.50
Ram 16.00 GB
System type 64 bit
Graphics GTX 1080
700 psu

I just revived an old pc that can play full speed on a decent res of 640 x 840 and the specs are
windows 10
gt430
intel q9650 3.0 ghz cpu
4gb ram
600w

pretty cheap build if you ask me

Not bad. Surely it can run a higher resolution than that, though?

Sure enough it does handle the emulator at 1080p full 60fps with power pc at 50. I was very doubtful lol

It'll be a little slow because of the improved features to the emulator like specular lighting, microtextures, and 4bit texture emulation.
