Force Feedback - Microsoft Xbox 360 Racing Wheel

I'm trying to get force feedback to work properly in Daytona USA 2. I have the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel, it is plugged in using the AC adaptor or otherwise the force feedback is turned off. I get rumblings when cars are hit or when I drive over different terrain but that's about it. I also feel what is called active resistance, the steering tries to return to center, it basically just gives "weight" to the wheel and that's always on inside or outside of the game. I just don't get any of the wheel turning on its own depending on what's going on in-game. How did that work in the arcade cabinet? Should I expect what I am describing above?

Sorry for not posting my configuration, I'm simply using what I found in these forums, 100 set to every value.
