As for graphics:
In Scud Race (both original and Plus), the car windows flickers in some occasion.

The original hardware does this, you can see it when the smoke is drawn in front of the windows in arcade mode

In Spikeout there are some flickering on the scene, it can be checked in the attract mode (the third demo, after the button explanation) when the camera zoom out a lot.

I don't know about this. Make a comparison against the arcade

SVN 735
Very small 35-38 FPS for AMD cards and i5 processor ...
Will there be an increase in FPS VS 2?

sorry, honestly I never noticed this in the arcade, but looking at the original hardware:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6tzEZulFog&t=103s

at 0:48 the car windows flickers just the same as 735

well when you recreate the gfx errors it means that we are on the road that lead to perfection, nice :D

However, I can confirm that the music (at least the attract mode music) play slow in supermodel compared to the original hw.

judging from this video on real hw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zeaNe1F2EI

In this case it's really an error, it's also difficult to capture because it'a a flicker of almost the entire scene for just a fraction of second.
Probably it's best to check directly, leave the attract mode on and it should be the third demo after the button explanation (on video it start at 2:23)

Also I noticed some severe slowdowns on supermodel at the part that corresponds at 5:38 on the video, it seems that part runs fine on model 3, with lighter slowdowns on original hw that starts only at 6:06.

Even during slowdowns, supermodel fps counter is fixed to 62fps.

Ian and I haven’t touched the sound emulation in years. The problems there are numerous and largely known. Fixing will not be trivial. It’ll probably require porting over MAME’s SCSP code. Until then, probably not worth discussing sound.

It’s hard to say what the cause of slowdown is but if the frame rate doesn’t dip then it isn’t the renderer. My guess is that it’s a combination of CPU emulation frequency and frame timing inaccuracy.

Virtualhunter, for spike out you really need to run the emulated cpu at like 100mhz, 50 is not really enough for that game, especially in the heavy scenes.

Ccp1982 what fps did you get in older builds? If i can guess where the bottle neck is might be able to optimise it.

I post here so many times.
If you are using the version from emucr, emu-france or insertmorecoins website, just forget it. Jiterdomer is the only one with the legit compile version.
emucr - Nuked, bad sound and maybe virus.
emu-france - Slow and with a few issues it doesn´t run right with my computer.
insertmorecoins - He is using one version to make is own computer run fast and it doesn´t work to me.
If is your compile version, something was wrong with yours. :)
