There are going to be some minor differences in timing because emulation is being run at 60fps, and not 57.5 or whatever the model 3 was using. So the video is going to run a bit faster than the audio.

Hello Developers

In old mpeg music the sound which did not loop looped in the new mpeg music
However, compared with other sounds, it will be silenced for about 1 second at the first loop
There is no silence in the sound that looped from the time of the old mpeg music

Image

Although there may be a difference between the emulator and the FPS of the real machine
I guess that there is a high possibility of a sound bug

It's possible the mpeg music is always supposed to loop. I'm not sure

Thank you for making these diagrams. Can you explain more? What is 1179? Is there a song that we can compare in the sound test menu of any game with the new code?

Hello Bart

These topics are mpeg music with spike out FE
Spike Out FE mpeg music (BGM) is looping
However, at the time of the old mpeg code some mpeg music did not loop

Ian changed to new mpeg code
Several mpeg music that did not loop before now loops
However, there is no sound in about 1 second in the first loop
After that we loop without silence time

In the sound test of the test menu, the sound number is 1179
In older it does not loop with mpeg code
A new mpeg code loops but there is silent time in the first loop
Other mpeg music(e.x. 1178) loops without silence time

Save state for sega rally bug?
Tried and failed to replicate that ..

The spikeout bug is interesting. Harry wrote most of the specular code, and he noted that the flat shaded specular seemed to work differently than the regular specular. Regular specular is just an approximation on the model3, it works as an extension of diffuse lighting. I wonder if flat shaded specular actually works like real specular ..
