Modulation settings. We don't know how shading really works and can't find a setting that satisfies all games. I will be conducting a bit-by-bit investigation sometime soon.

You haven't mapped the keyboard. MagicalLever is analog axis. MagicalLeverUp/Down are the digital versions. Set keys for these, remove joystick axes.

You might want to check that, there's a few duplicates :) There's probably no harm, either but it could be tidier.

No, that's just a mess.

Let me explain how analog inputs work. For a single analog Model 3 input, Supermodel defines three different inputs:

1. An analog input that corresponds 1:1 with the Model 3 input.
2. A digital input for increasing the Model 3 analog value.
3. A digital input for decreasing the Model 3 analog value.

If you have an analog device (such as the joysticks on your XBox controller, a Logitech steering wheel, a mouse, etc.) then you can just map it to [1]. But if you do not and are stuck with digital inputs (on/off), like the keyboard, then you need to assign two inputs: one which increases the analog value when pressed, the other which decreases it.

Take the steering wheel as an example. Analog values on Model 3 range from 0 to 255 with a center position of 128. There is an input called "Full Steering" which maps an analog device, like a joystick or wheel, to the Model 3 steering axis. Alternatively, you can map keys to "Steering Left" and "Steering Right", which decrease (turn the wheel left) or increase (turn the wheel right) the analog value from its center-point of 128.

If you specify [1], [2], and [3], I think Supermodel will prioritize your analog device over the digital devices.

Now, the magical lever is an analog device, so you want to do something like this:

Code: Select all
InputMagicalLever1 = "JOY1_YAXIS"
InputMagicalLeverUp1 = "KEY_UP"
InputMagicalLeverDown1 = "KEY_DOWN"

Your joystick Y axis will control the lever now or, you can use the up and down keyboard arrows to control it.
