Thanks Bart. I really appreciate anything you can do to get the game controls fully working for pad usage. I am really anxious to play this game along with my partner.

As long as you're using bass.zip, it should just run. The other 2 don't work at all for me.

bassdx = black screen
getbass = I/O error

What I'm wondering is, does everyone have the problem where the Rod X constantly moves to the right? In the test menu, everything is 80H in neutral position so it would seem that the controls are properly centred.

I've no idea why this is happening. Even if the inputs are forced to 0x00 or 0xFF, it still happens. I gave up for now. I did however push a change with Harry Tuttle's fix to the reel input. It now behaves like a pedal and is at 0 in the neutral position.

Hi, this is my configuration for Sega Bass Fishing and it's behaving fine. Please note, however, that probably you've to calibrate your emulated rod controller in test menu (F2), under "volume settings" ("volume"???)

Code: Select all
; Sega Bass Fishing / Get Bass controls
InputFishingRodLeft = "NONE"
InputFishingRodRight = "NONE"
InputFishingRodUp = "NONE"
InputFishingRodDown = "NONE"
InputFishingStickLeft = "JOY1_POV1_LEFT"
InputFishingStickRight = "JOY1_POV1_RIGHT"
InputFishingStickUp = "JOY1_POV1_UP"
InputFishingStickDown = "JOY1_POV1_DOWN"
InputFishingRodX = "JOY1_XAXIS"
InputFishingRodY = "JOY1_YAXIS"
InputFishingStickX = "NONE"
InputFishingStickY = "NONE"
InputFishingReel = "JOY1_RYAXIS_POS"
InputFishingCast = "JOY1_BUTTON3"
InputFishingSelect = "JOY1_BUTTON4"

Ah, I didn't realize there was a calibration procedure. I'll try that when I get home! For some reason, Sega refers to the analog input level as the "volume". Maybe they call anything coming out of an ADC a "volume" level.

I found that lots of Model3 games has this "volume" menu where you can calibrate your controls.

Ha, I looked for a calibration setting, but not far enough. This is why you lot are great. Thanks again.
