Extracting textures from a game

Postby Freezer91 » Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:17 pm

Hi dear forum,
Does anyone know if there is a way to extract textures from a ROM, in order to edit and reinsert them?
Greetings

You can extract textures from Supermodel using the -dump-textures option but you cannot reinsert new ones.

Yep, don't get me wrong, Model 3 games are amazing given their age.

But with improved textures the result would be incredible: I've seen games from 16 years ago come back to life with just upscaled texs.
Even some Nintendo DS games with a retexture look really better~
I think we would have an impressive result with such a thing on these games.
Unfortunately I am not a programmer and without a tool it cannot be done

I always wonder why it doesn't apply? As much as the games look nice and personalized 2022 by adding some textures. no one will overshadow that the m3 emulation is bart, nik, lan, and other guys... come on ;)
