i recently bought an lcd screen, of 1440*900, i set that res in scud race and the game seems great, but it runs at 4:3

Not at the moment. All model 3 board games are 4:3 so you'll have to wait for Bart and co to crack the extra geometry option to make each appropriate game 16:9.

I hope that answers your question.

Your widescreen trick. Is that a true 16:9 screen frame aspect ratio (e.g. 720x480, 1280x720, 1920x1080, etc) or is it really 4:3 ratio stretched to 16:9? I believe you may have got it as the latter which is definitely not ideal as the image would be stretched horizontally.

Supermodel will always adjust one of the dimensions to retain the 4:3 aspect ratio. If yres*(496/384) > xres, then xres will become the X resolution and yres will be re-computed as xres*384/496, or vice versa. On most typical resolutions, Supermodel will use yres as-is and then xres has to be recomputed and ends up being narrower than the requested one (Supermodel will just center the display area).

Yup. That's exactly what I thought. Thanks for the insight, Bart.

Question, do you think will you investigate applying Extra Geometry drawing to expand the ratio to a true 16:9 in the near future? Of course, this lovely feature should be lower priority on tasks compared to other things like a perfect running version of VF3. As you can tell, my anxiousness for playing a perfect version of VF3 at home and setting up many tournaments is perhaps, "unmeasurable". :)
