Skichamp Rear View

Postby Stoneman » Fri Feb 11, 2022 6:45 pm

When I play skichamp , i smay only play in first person view, except before some checkpoints it is third person view. in attraction mode, it shows always third person. on youtube everyone is playing that game in third person (rear view). is there something wrong at my side or is this normal with supermodel3 emulator?

Isn't there a view change button?

No, there is no View Change Button. I have checked all buttons available in the Input Test Menu.

I had wondered about this. I thought I had played it in third person, but lately noticed it was first person.

Just had a play around with it, and it looks like the real hardware didn't have a 'player 1' or 'player 2' button to launch a game.
If you press key '1' or '2' in Supermodel, you're actually hitting a different in-game control. (The inputs overlap.)

We should be launching a game with 'Q', 'W' or 'E'. They act as the view button.
Q = far view
W = mid view
E = first person.

If you're launching a game with key '1', you're always getting first person view.

Yes, man. Thats it I spent hours for checking I never thought its wrong to press Start P1. So Select1, Select2 and Select3 are the view buttons but at the start not in game.

Thank u very much for your help.

Hello xbrunox

You are not able to change the view ingame. At the beginning before you select your skier. At the moment when you start the game (after insert coins). you are then able to chose the view with select1, select2 or select3. there is no message on the screen that gives a info about that (i also checked photos of the arcade cabinet and there is no hint).

If not using free play, hold down 'Q', 'W' or 'E' while coining up to dictate view.
