Most obvious question first; Are you using an up-to-date version of Supermodel with working versions of Ocean Hunter and LA Machine guns? Neither of those game had working controls in older versions of Supermodel. If you are then I'd look at the GUI you're using as probably being the thing that's affecting the controls somehow. Any GUIs that people use in Supermodel are made by third parties and aren't actually connected with the 'official' Supermodel team so can cause issues with newer versions of the emulator. Try configuring your controls (in a separate build to the GUI one) directly from the command line using the 'config-inputs' option and try launching the games directly from the command line too. The Supermodel main page explains how to do all this.

Another thing to point out is that LA Machineguns and Ocean Hunter do *not* use light guns. I don't have a light gun so I've never tried configuring these games to use one. I can say for sure that they will work with analog joysticks and the mouse. My guess is that with a light gun, the cross hair will lag because the position is not updated instantaneously.

Also, make sure that you calibrate the guns in the test menu. For example, with LA Machineguns, you have to enter the test menu and then go through the gun calibration procedure (you'll have to move your mouse/lightgun/controller completely to the left and right and then up and down until the entire range 0-255 is seen for both X and Y axes). Ocean Hunter may have the same requirement. Can't recall offhand.

I'm using 2 aimtraks for those games and work perfectly.
My first aimtrak (player one) is recognized in supermodel as MOUSE3.
The second aimtrak (player two) is recognized as MOUSE2.
This is my configuration in supermodel.ini :

; Light guns (Lost World)
InputGunLeft = "KEY_LEFT" ; digital, move gun left
InputGunRight = "KEY_RIGHT" ; digital, move gun right
InputGunUp = "KEY_UP" ; digital, move gun up
InputGunDown = "KEY_DOWN" ; digital, move gun down
InputGunX = "MOUSE3_XAXIS,JOY1_XAXIS" ; analog, full X axis
InputGunY = "MOUSE3_YAXIS,JOY1_YAXIS" ; analog, full Y axis
InputTrigger = "KEY_A,JOY1_BUTTON4,MOUSE3_LEFT_BUTTON,MOUSE3_RIGHT_BUTTON"
InputOffscreen = "KEY_S,JOY1_BUTTON2,MOUSE3_RIGHT_BUTTON" ; point off-screen
InputAutoTrigger = 0 ; automatic reload when off-screen
InputGunLeft2 = "NONE"
InputGunRight2 = "NONE"
InputGunUp2 = "NONE"
InputGunDown2 = "NONE"
InputGunX2 = "JOY2_XAXIS, MOUSE2_XAXIS"
InputGunY2 = "JOY2_YAXIS, MOUSE2_YAXIS"
InputTrigger2 = "JOY2_BUTTON4,MOUSE2_LEFT_BUTTON,MOUSE2_RIGHT_BUTTON"
InputOffscreen2 = "JOY2_BUTTON2, MOUSE2_RIGHT_BUTTON"
InputAutoTrigger2 = 0

; Analog guns (Ocean Hunter, LA Machineguns)
InputAnalogGunLeft = "KEY_LEFT" ; digital, move gun left
InputAnalogGunRight = "KEY_RIGHT" ; digital, move gun right
InputAnalogGunUp = "KEY_UP" ; digital, move gun up
InputAnalogGunDown = "KEY_DOWN" ; digital, move gun down
InputAnalogGunX = "MOUSE3_XAXIS,JOY1_XAXIS" ; analog, full X axis
InputAnalogGunY = "MOUSE3_YAXIS,JOY1_YAXIS" ; analog, full Y axis
InputAnalogTriggerLeft = "KEY_A,JOY1_BUTTON4,MOUSE3_LEFT_BUTTON"
InputAnalogTriggerRight = "KEY_S,JOY1_BUTTON2,MOUSE3_RIGHT_BUTTON"
InputAnalogGunLeft2 = "NONE"
InputAnalogGunRight2 = "NONE"
InputAnalogGunUp2 = "NONE"
InputAnalogGunDown2 = "NONE"
InputAnalogGunX2 = "MOUSE2_XAXIS"
InputAnalogGunY2 = "MOUSE2_YAXIS"
InputAnalogTriggerLeft2 = "MOUSE2_LEFT_BUTTON"
InputAnalogTriggerRight2 = "MOUSE2_RIGHT_BUTTON"

Glad to see that these games work. Is there any lag when playing?
