The Ocean Hunter, calibration

Postby anchounio » Fri Jul 01, 2016 4:44 pm

Hi
I can't find where to calibrate controls in the service menu of the game.... and It's quite annoying cause I found it months ago, but now I just don't remember.
I'm using the last version of supermodel3 (rvn 458)... but I guess it shouldn't matter.
Can anybody tell me where is hidden that option?

By the way, I'm also having problems calibrating guns in the lost world. In this case I can see the calibration settings in the service menu, but when calibrating the guns (shooting in the center) they keep inside just a square of the screen (the screen is divided in 4 squares). It's weird.

Thanks in advance.

FWIW, I've never had to calibrate the guns in Lost World. The default settings will work fine.

LOST WORLD:
I'm using 2 aimtraks and no, default settings doesn't work properly for that. I've already enabled raw input by adding a line, and also edited the supermodel.ini and configure both guns. The problem is when calibrating them.
Trying to calibrate them is impossible, once inside the calibration setup (inside the service menu) I shoot at the center but the aim then is limited to just a quarter of the screen. The only options available are CENTER and DEFAULT, which differs from the operator's manual of the game.

OCEAN HUNTER:
I still can't find the aim setup inside the Ocean Hunter service menu.
Can anybody tell me where is this?

LOST WORLD

I don't know if this is normal, but I've just found out that the resolution of my desktop affects calibration. In 800x600 I can aim almost all the screen after calibrating. On 1920x1080, after calibration (which consists on shooting at the center) the aim is limited to only a quarter of the screen.
So I guess I should change the resolution of my desktop in order to play gun games.

OCEAN HUNTER

I still haven't found the calibration settings   ....

The Ocean Hunter uses analog controls for the aiming, so I don't think you can use your Aimtrak gun. There isn't a calibration screen where you shoot into the corners, just the input section to see if the controller or mouse gets the right values.

I feel a bit stupid now

It's a shame, I want to use the aimtraks with it anyway.... mmmm.... or maybe a joystick...
I'll see what I can do...

Thanks for your responses :D

SOLVED!

Hi!

I have found out that just by configuring Windows desktop to a low resolution, in my case I'm using 800x600, all the issues with Model 3 games have been solved. In the case of the OCEAN HUNTER it works perfect with the aimtraks with just the own aimtrak calibration in Windows.

I still haven't tried the aimtraks with MODEL2 or DEMUL, but in the case of MODEL 3 I can confirm the it's neccesary to reduce the resolution to something near the emulator.... I'm using the default resolution, which is quite low... Another solution I guess it would be increasing the original model3 resolution in the emulator to something close Windows desktop resolution.

Oh.

Well that's good.

Yeah, you should probably match your desktop resolution.

Old thread, but no they won't. There is calibration under the Sound adjustment menu. My sinden guns would not work until I fixed the calibration in there!
