I spotted a good chunk of Model 3 (even Hikaru!) games when I was much younger, and I regret hardly playing many of them when I had the chance. It's rare to spot these games now, even on the other side of my town where they once had them.
I spotted a few gems when I went to my local bowling alley though. They've got a decently large arcade that's got a mix of retro and new games, some of them including Star Wars Trilogy, L.A. Machine Guns, and even an The Ocean Hunter deluxe cabinet. They were kinda beaten up since it seemed like they get a lot of people still using them, but they're in fairly good condition otherwise and played well! I spent so many credits playing them, even reaching the ending for Star Wars Trilogy lol
I have a question though. I know some of these games are running on newer versions (or "Steps") of the Model 3 board. Would it be possible to run games from earlier versions of Model 3 on later versions by swapping the ROM? I'd love to be able to collect my own arcade boards later on, so I was curious if anyone has tried this or if this is possible.
