Compile emulator offline

Postby sahel » Thu Nov 05, 2020 1:55 am

Hi all! I want to try and compile the last version of the Supermodel on my pc. This because the SVN 830 doesn't work on my pc (the old r637 32bit does...)
The only problem is that my PC is cut off from the internet... so the question: is it possible to compile my own version on a machine that is offline?
Thanks

Better idea: compile on an Internet-enabled machine and transfer Supermodel. You're not going to be able to fetch the latest source code from your offline PC so why even bother compiling there?

Thanks Bart, if you say so, I'll try for sure. I'm a total noob at this, I've never tried to compile anything before so I thought that a "tailored" version for the machine you're compiling on would come out, if I did so.

The guide is straightforward enough for me to try. Let's see if the latest version will be finally able to run on my offline rig.

Looks like the Makefiles have been fixed. It will build a generic x86-64 binary which should work on any x86-64 machine.

I did it!!! It compiled for me an SVN 833 that works flawlessly!
Thanks a lot for your guide!
