AFTER START SUPERMODEL EMU

YOU CAN RUN TASKMANGER in process windows

find supermodel.exe

right-click and select processor affinity
uncheck cpu 0

and

wait few seconds

and recheck cpu 0

return supermodel

it will run at fullspeed....(it worked on MY G850 @ SCUDRACE)

i also noticed that the cpu is not fully utilized when running supermodel, both core are running about 80% only, i will try this out tonite and see if it can boost up further ( i am now working in office :D )

Wow, that actually works! Daytona 2 goes from 25fps all the way up to 51 near enough solid!

Some times it does actually run at full speed on it's own.

So how comes this works? Is it something I can automate when I start the emulator?

Sorry to hijack the thread but that's kind of odd.

Having tested both now, it doesn't seem to in general but it probably depends what thread is most demanding at the time or what is being used. In general it's best to go for 64bit builds of emulators. MAME for example usually gives me about a 20% speed increase in some games, though others suffer but the deficit is worth it IMHO.

My E8400 usually isn't using more than 50% when running Daytona 2 @ 50fps, even when it occasionally drops a couple of frames :?:

cpmok wrote:i dunno if it works for you, but for me it can help to boost the fps a lot.

My pc config is Athlon x2 5000+ w/ XFX 9600 Gso, 2GB ram and running win xp sp3, it only gives about 20fps when playing scud race. Since i want to play this game badly i tried to change those settings appear in the supermodel, i noticed that by using the external share file provided by Bart and lower the ppc frequency to around 35-40, the performance is much better (40-50 fps in game). i dunno how it works but it is funny that at first when you entering the game the performance is still slow, but after serveral minutes it will boost up automatically.

You may try this out and see if it works for you. :D

I tried using the external share file, however, the performance degraded very much. Weired ?

That is weird since all that file does is remove spotlight effects so you can only benefit from it. Are you forgetting any command line switches or have you moved/modified your ini?

I've got the same issue with my virtual pin cab and it's just because you need to set CPU's core to the emulator
USE THIS SOFTWARE only with windows XP no need in other cause CPU CORE are assign by OS
You can take set affinity software to assign supermodel to your core
And you will get fullspeed with force feedback ;)

So how do you set it up? I've never seen this issue before but I guess it could be down to using XP64?

For the 64 version of XP i'm not sure ( I forgot )
But for sure the 32 bit doesn't
And you download SET AFFINITY
After you can add .exe files witch you want to assign
After by default soft set maximum of core to the .exe you choose

Yeah it seems there is a 64bit version of Set Affinity (32bit version shows no applications running). Setting to 1 and adding to favorites makes the emulator run at full speed every time it's loaded :D

Thanks bandicoot ;)
