No need to install the damn 11.8 driver, no need to use the damn " atioglxx.dll " with the 32 bit emulator and now we can use the 64-bit version instead.

I found the DAMN version of the file needed for 64-bit OGL applications.

Obs. I recommend downloading the driver directly from the source and avoid downloading that dll apart from the internerdz, thereby avoiding any surprise with viruses etc...

>> Instructions <<

-Download this driver from the AMD web site:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... n&rev=11.8

- have on hand 7zip installed on your system, try google and search for the program ...
- After you downloaded the driver...right mouse button on the driver executable, then extract using 7zip, now we hav the driver extracted, no need to install, we only need one file.
- IMPORTANT This time, the file we need to use is " atio6axx.dll " the path to it is:
Code: Select all
"11-8_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl \ $ _OUTDIR \ Packages \ Drivers \ Display \ W76A_INF \ B123158"

-Inside this folder "B123158" there are numerous files with the extension ". dl_"
- look for the file "atio6axx.dl_"
-with the right mouse button, again using 7zip, extract this file...then we have a folder, on that folder, the unzipped file "atio6axx.dll

Now just put this file in the folder where the supermodel.exe is it.

That´s it!

No more performance problems using the 32bit version and no need to use an outdated driver.

@Bart

Would be interesting to put that file hosted somewhere and maybe, update the first post with the solution, but I dont know if this could be a problem since it´s a file from AMD, and this may cause some kind of copyright issue.

Tried it, it gives me an loadlibrary error message every time i try to run any game!

@venomv1986

strange

Here I dont use a GUI and instead, i use a bat file to launch the games.

Are you using any GUI? If so, try using only the command prompt, or a bat file, just to see what happens.

I couldn't take AMD's driver mess any longer so I jumped on the nvidia bandwagon. Never thought I'd do it in a million years but enough is enough.

When it comes to emulators, ATI/AMD has never been a good choice. 9/10 there's always some incompatibility or issue.

Yeah, I hear ya xemumanic. Had to figure that out the hard way :lol:

Not only SM but PCSX2 and Dolphin benefit significantly from nvidia over AMD/ATI!

Not yet tested in W7 and i dont know if the problem was solved only in W8, so those who want to test in W7, say if it made any difference.
