Hi,

Bassj18, have you upload those files :

*OPTIONAL SECTION*
You can change the resolution by unraring the desired resolution
files to your Sega Rally 2 folder (must choose 800x600 in display)

I try to change resolution in my SR2.exe with a hex editor but i always fail.
Thx

Thanks a lot, it works in HD (with some back to windows) !
Now, my dual shock 3 with xpadder or joy2key doesn't work with SR2.
It's a curse...

Hey guys, it is me Trombone from UG. I was the one who put this package together. I guess someone took my files from UG and uploaded them elsewhere. Anyways, the files are far from perfect as far as the resolutions are concerned. Until Bart gets SR2 on Supermodel cranking it is the best option. I am surprised to see my downloads hitting other places. Anyways, the Sega Rally 2 upload I made was actually requested by a member at UG and I said I would accommodate him with a good SR2 package. The user has a 64-bit OS and he was never able to get SR2 to work. Seeing as I do not have a 64-bit OS I used him as a test tool for my SR2 pack. I was happy to hear that they worked for him.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the SR2 for now until Supermodel beats it!

I don't get it... SR2 works well on my computer with Supermodel. Only minor graphical issues but I can play it well.

Were do you get stuck ? I might test it deeper...
Sorry if I speak english like a Belgian cow... ^^,

It isn't an issue with getting stuck, it is just that SR2 isn't up-to-par with Daytona or Scud Racer yet in terms of its graphical accuracy in Supermodel. Even with the shader file (which is nice)it still isn't as solid as the PC model of the game. Not only that the PC version has all the extra playability due to the season game-play mode and extra cars.

i still want to find Sega Rally 2 around...i do have the 1st one (original case + disc only, no box), but around here you have to get really lucky to find it, as you never know when and what you're gonna find in those thrift stores and goodwills.

we all love sega rally 2, currently I prefer the PC version over supermodel due to the shader issue, and the ability for local LAN multiplayer, But hopefully in the future that gets sorted

There kind of isn't a definitive Sega Rally 2. Model 3 version is prettier than either home port, but has only four tracks compared to the 14(?) on the home versions, and an equally sparse selection of cars. Dreamcast version has much better lighting than PC, but almost never runs at 60 fps, even in the low detail mode. And analog controls never worked for me on the PC version, even back on Windows 98.

Really, if I could get analog controls working on the PC version, I would be happy as a bunny.
