Also here's my older run with normal driving for comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYtzJ6_7hjk

Edit: attempted to use the third wall hit turn, don't think it went as intended, but I got a faster time by a whole second! 3'18"58: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9zkw4K47LQ
What makes the difference is the final two turns, you have to do them in second gear while cutting as deep as possible, just remember to not touch the dirt with the front tires or you'll spin.

many years ago i getting 3.18 too :D

hey all, long time no see :)

I made this video around a year ago and realized I never shared it. One day after listening to the unused music from Daytona USA 2 I wondered what would the game be like if some of those tracks were included, I was bored so with the help of video editing I made a simulation of a single credit playing the Challenge course and sitting through the attract mode and credits sequence while using tracks that I believe would fit them.

What do you think? I feel like it would have been cool if the Challenge course had a BGM of its own along with its own credits music instead of using the tracks from the other courses

PS: upon rewatching I realized that the car engine volume might be too loud... but oh well, I hope you still get the idea.

Sorry for the late reply, my settings for Sega Rally 1 are: 270 degrees, no force feedback and 0% centering spring strenght, 100% sensitivity. I tried the original cabinet some months ago and the steering wheel feels completely different, and I guess that also applies to any other controller, it might take a while for you to get used to it, I'd say just stick to the one you have the most fun playing with.

That's awesome, fefor! I didn't even know there were unused BGM tracks. The track you used in-game would have been good for the attract mode tutorial. Daytona 2's OST is pretty good. It's a shame most Model 3 games have terrible music and sound effects relative to early Sega arcade efforts.

Hi! Just wondering if it was possible for someone to get the starting lineup from the Beginner's track in Daytona USA 2. This would help me determine ratings for all the cars I'm trying to put into Nr2003.

I tried counting and checking by hand, but it looked like some cars just popped out of no where (example: the 35 car only pops into view after the "rolling start" sequence is over during the attract mode)
