hi,
I answser your thread here
http://www.supermodel3.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1928

I checked also yesterday, all good for me
I hear the "finish" and the end music too.

it's recommended for this game to use original scsp code (but with new or old scsp, it's the same in my case except motor sound bad with new scsp) at well as ppc freq to 70 or 100

old scsp
-legacy-scsp or LegacySoundDSP = 1 in supermodel ini
new scsp
-new-scsp or LegacySoundDSP = 0 in supermodel.ini

found this video on yt, I have the same thing
https://youtu.be/DK44gIhJ9ng?t=85

Code: Select all
[ srally2 ]

Balance = 50
PowerPCFrequency = 70
LegacySoundDSP = 1

I know, and it's what I've been doing to get at least a faint engine noise. But there's always this WOOOOSH covering it no matter what settings I try. These videos have the same noise covering the engine sound

And this is the arcade, where you can hear the engine very clearly

you said low motor sound, is this can be your "woooosh" (too low motor) ?
1st thing, cut music sound to have a real idea : F9-F10 or cmdline or config ini
have you play with sound volume, music volume, balance ?

don't forget the real arcade game have 4.1 sound system, in Supermodel all is mixed into 2.0

for me that's good enough but I don't have musical hears :p
may be others guys have new ideas for you

Yep, and the engine always sounds muffled. Check out this video and tell me the engine noise isn't way higher than supermodel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c7r1fGJRDI

It's just the sound emulation not being 100% correct with the engine noise while other sounds are loud enough.

for me that's good enough

Not a big problem for me either, but I found this thread and I was wondering if there's a way of making the engine stand out more.
