i am using win 7 64 bit and i am using mame roms please help thanks

I've heard of one other user having problems with the 64-bit build. We won't know why until someone can give us more information. Is anyone out there successfully running 64-bit Supermodel on Windows 7?

Until then, try the 32-bit version.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits and the emulator runs fine.

I'd advice him to get the newest video card drivers available, to install framework 4, and the newest DX Redist available. Not sure if those will solve the problem, but those are things needed to run most of the PC games fine.

Hi,

Please will you post some more info:

- what are your system specs?

- what configuration are you using (Supermodel.ini and command line args)?

- what exactly is the error you're seeing? Is it crashing silently or is it printing an error message? At what point does it crash - while loading the game or while playing the game? Does it say anything in the error.log?

- does the 32-bit version work okay on your system?

I had a quick go on my work PC (faster than my home one!), it's Win7 but 64bit. Scud Race and Daytona 2 played okay, but Star Wars Trilogy crashed the emulator on the 1st and 3rd level, only Hoth seemed to work. Maybe a 64bit issue.

I'll have a longer play sooner or later.

When you run the 32-bit version of Supermodel on that same PC does Star Wars Trilogy crash in the same place?

I run Supermodel 64 Bit too and for me it all works very good.

My Specs

Intel i7 3,8 Ghz
Geforce GTX 550
16 Gb of Ram
Win7 64 Bit
Soundblaster Xfi Platinium

If you can replicate the crash consistently, please make a save state (and then test it by exiting, re-starting, and loading that save state), then we will arrange for you to send it to us to investigate.

Likewise, I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium with 64-bit Supermodel with no issues. I haven't experienced a single crash in either the 32-bit or 64-bit build all the way through beta testing.

I was only having a quick look at work sadly, so won't be able to test it thoroughly without being noticed! :lol:
