There is the software VORPX that allows 3D PC games to played in VR.

I played around with VORPX(not with Supermodel mind you) with a few games and despite hours of tweaking and messing around with it, I couldn't get it to deliver any sort of convincing VR, even for games it claims to fully support(ie GRID 2). It was more like a psuedo 3D effect and in some cases looked like I was looking at an enormous 2D screen at close range.
