Attached is a pic of supermodel running in VR mode. Ironically it doesn't work with my renderer :D

Demo looks cool Bart. If this part of the Metaverse? :)

One more, this is daytona. You can see the view of the car is from the other side

Nice! Did you make this mod or use one of those apps that tries to automatically convert to VR? How does it feel?

As for my demo, yeah, I suppose it is, although where I worked last the Metaverse may as well have been a banned term :D

BTW, I have accidentally locked myself out of my own account on another machine (stale password triggered a Captcha check which cannot be bypassed because the Forum software is so old). This means I can no longer log into the admin panel! Trying to contact the other admins but we'll see if any respond (I think two other folks, including Nik, have that access). It's probably time to move to a new forum software so I'll look into setting one up this week. Hopefully we can just lock down this forum to preserve the wealth of info here.

Ha! I fixed the login problem by editing the SQL database. Crisis averted for now. But still, I want to install a new forum and pickle this one :)

It's my own program that does this. It captures the graphics calls from the app and replays them so you can do HMD etc.

Maybe we could update the webpage too? The compatibility list is a tad out of date lol

Wow that is really cool! Does it work in real time or does it capture e.g. a frame and then replay the calls to construct a static scene you can view?

On a somewhat related note: do you know anything about Windows screen capture APIs? In particular, I'm interested in capturing specific windows and also curious whether it's possible to create virtual display surfaces that are entirely decoupled from the physical monitor resolution to render windows into.

Try this
https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/SimpleRecorder
I don't know much about virtual display surfaces?

Yeah my app works in real time. You can also pause or quit the app and it'll carry on rendering vr.

That sounds incredible, Ian. Do you think we could use this as a step forward to further investigate Supermodel VR in terms of playing the game? Man, I could smell the tires in Daytona 2 if done right.

Pardon my naivety, but wouldn't Model3/Real3d lend itself much more well to VR than porting many other consoles/games, simply because the entire scenegraph is uploaded into the chipset?
With minimal rejection preprocessing we can hopefully retain geometry and be able to render much more scenery instead of what's just in the normal 4:3 viewport.

Edit: I see at least Virtua Striker has done some viewport culling. Is this being done by the game on the PPC, or is it an artifact of how Supermodel renders the default area?
