P1 Start + P1 Coin do not press <ESC> in SWTrilogy

Postby poodadoo » Wed Apr 12, 2023 6:42 am

So I have Launchbox running in my arcade cabinet. P1 Start + P1 Coin presses <ESC> for every other emulator I've configured so far. SuperModel 3 isn't recognizing those buttons as ESC. I can press <ESC> on my keyboard and it works fine but pressing the two button combo while running SW Trilogy (the only SM3 game I've worked on so far) isn't exiting.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry if this doesn't sounds very helpful, but to me that sounds more like a Launchbox issue than a Supermodel one. I use Maximus Arcade in my Bartop and can exit Supermodel games without issue with the arcade button on the cab that I assigned to exit every emulator. Is there a Launchbox forum or FAQs you can consult? Unless any other Supermodel forum members use Launchbox, I suspect you probably won't get an answer to this specific issue here.

LaunchBox user here. I don't think you can override Supermodel's hardcoded hotkeys with a frontend.

EDIT: On another note, perhaps you can try an AutoHotkey Script to bypass the default Esc key in Supermodel.
