Sega has made interesting hardware back in those days, the model 1, naomi, and don't forget the all custom hikaru!

Stop typing in all caps. Download the zip file and you'll see it has the NVRAM files for every game. Put all the files, or just the ones for the games you care about, into the NVRAM folder.

Magical Truck is a bit tricky. You can access a region menu with a button sequence, with the Supermodel default keys it would be...

6 (wait for test menu then...) 1,1,5,1,5,6

but it' s locked to Japan.

Apparently you can change it with a cheat engine/memory hack tool, but the machine resets to Japan on next boot.
This means nvrams won't work. Search Google and you'll find people are sharing save states to get around this.

There's a discussion about it on a Youtube video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF1opQhDRts

Scroll down to the conversation started by "SonikkuForever 2", the most interesting part being.... (talking about memory locations)

" Well, I'll be damned! I got it. It's literally 1 byte before the coin settings. Further changing to 02 changes the region to export.

So here are the region codes :
00 - Japan
01 - USA
02 - Export
03 - Australia "

It would be great if this could be patched with the Supermodel Games.xml, not sure how that stuff works or if it's even possible.
I guess if it were easy some one would of done it by now.
Spindizzi would probably know best, that guy seems to be a Guru with that sort of thing.

@rokfpoewrkcpoqwkcp - Thanks for taking the time to provide the info + the youtube link - I will go give it an eyeball. Typical, it does seem like it will be a pain to implement in permanent basis. Thanks again for providing the guiding light !!

"r836 Magical Truck Adventure rom patch to unlock region."

Good work guys :D

It looked like a bit of a workout....

https://youtu.be/y44wZ13kdqk?t=99

and Supermodels widescreen mode looks a lot better than Sega's stretched TV set up.

If is locked for Magical Truck Adventure, there is no way to unlocked without using the nvram? Some rom to make it work? :(
We need more versions of this game to work, maybe a clone or something.
