Le Mans 24 - Strange Audio Issue

Postby MrThunderwing » Sat Jul 03, 2021 8:20 am

Hey, I've noticed some weird behaviour with Le Mans 24's audio today - it doesn't respond to the -music-volume= -sound-volume= commands like, well, all the other games do. No matter what I set the figures as, the music and SFX never change volume. Is this a know issue, does anyone have a workaround? I basically want to switch the music off (or get it down as low as possible) in the P2 and P3 versions of a 3P network, so I don't get the competing, out of sync music, but those players can still hear their cars.

Music volume refers to DSB audio and if I remember correctly Le Mans 24 lacks DSB. It’s all just SCSP.

Ahhhh, so does that mean it's not possible to mute the music but keep the SFX then?

That is correct. The only way to do so would be to hack the SCSP code and manually disable the channels that are being used for music playback.
