In supermodel's SVN revisions, daytona usa 2 BOTE crashes when you try to play the expert stage, to solve this problem, set the virtual PowerPC 603ev to 166MHz to solve this issue, but if your computer cant handle 166MHz, use supermodel 0.2a with a UI, the game will not crash on the default clock speed.

I've been having a freezing/crash issue with Daytona 2 (both versions) on a Beelink N95*.

The first run of the game after booting up always freezes (on the second bend of the beginner track), but the sound keeps running. Alt+F4 to get out of the game, then load it back up and race as many times as you like with no freeze. I'm not sure why it does it only on the first play?

I have tried all the setting imaginable with no success, first run every time.

Version .2a does not have this issue, but its worth the freeze to get all the nice textures .3a has.

*N95 works flawlessly beside that issue.

I would just like to add my thanks to the team that works so hard and are dedicated to this great project.

That's highly unusual and I've never encountered this. Does it happen when just using the keyboard as input? Are your video drivers up to date?

It happens regardless of the input used, keyboard, spinner, mouse or g29.

I've continued to trouble shoot it, but I'm officially out of ideas. Its not worth going back to the 2.0, the trade off is too big. I just wish I could find the issue between the two.

I may just use the Beelink elsewhere and replace it with a NUC.

Cheers

Yes everything is updated and multiple inputs used. I have multiple of the same Beelink PC, its definitely a compatibility issue somewhere with these Beelink Mini PC's.

It's one of those problems that I'm not going to be able to resolve. Just going to have to use a different Mini PC (NUC).

This is a link to my SM3/M2/Mame Quarter Scale Cabinet build. The only reason I'm using these mini pc's.

Other than the first play freeze and applying the side art decals, its 100% done and I very happy with the result.
