those glitches are from the underclocked virtual PowerPC 603ev, to get rid of the blue glitches, set the virtual PPC to 166 MHz to get rid of the glitches.
Sega has made interesting hardware back in those days, the model 1, naomi, and don't forget the all custom hikaru!

Oh my god, I have been away from this project since I moved to a condo temporarily and didn't have space for my racing cockpit. I'm just noticing these latest posts about the PPC at 166Mhz fixing the blue glitches. This is amazing! Wish I had looked at this back then.

I finally have space to race, I just set up everything, ran vorpX for the first time in over a year, it forced me to perform an update. Somehow magically the glitches are completely gone, even without the PPC at 166Mhz, so they did something too. The game unfortunately runs way too slow. I'd like to go back to a previous version of vorpX but there is no installer archive on their web site, so I'm stuck. I have no ways of experiencing this in its glorious 3D, it is so close, yet unattainable, maybe one day!

I am just so glad to see this it still alive and well, I wish I could help.
