Thank you! I wrote it because I wish reviews for the G29 had warned me about some of the quirks and minor annoyances I would find in it. I guess the jump from the Driving Force to the Driving Force GT was so huge, and people were speaking about how different wheels like the G-29 and the T-300 felt, that I was expecting a full overhaul, and while some areas are definitely an improvement, some others, like the setting of the wheel, not so much.
I'm very happy with the G-29, with new games and on my PC, but it was kind of dissapointing that I could not use it to it's full extend on the PS3 (I don't know... they could have added additional modes, like some g-27 mode, to allow for use of the clutch and lever...). I could totally replace my old Driving Force (which despite being an old ps2 wheel was still being supported in GT5) with the DFGT in every game, but I could not do the same with the G-29: I still use the DFGT for the PS3.

I do like my G-29, though. Forza 6 apex and 7 are a blast with it.

wow what a full article ! :D

i wouldn't really want one of those Driving Force wheels though, unless i got a 3-pedals base along with it, just to be able to have a cluch when i want one, plus this gear stick being sequential and part of the wheel itself is kind of meh ...

i've been told it was possible to find a G27 for 100-ish eurobucks and that looks like a good start maybe, it has a proper shifter and alledgedly feels pretty much as fine as a G29, i have yet to find one at this price yet though, but it appears to have a decent resell value :D

i've also given up on those t300 and t500, they indeed don't seem to be worth it comparatively, no matter what reviews say .... the TS-PC on the other hand seems to be another kind of animal, but it's vastly more expensive and comes with a F-1 wheel that is clearly not a "wheel" ! :P
gotta go for the TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition for a roadcar-like deal, bringing the bill closer to the 600 bucks and doesn't even comes with pedals .... and that's touching the entry-Fanatec kind of money ... so maybe on sale ...

so yeah G27 sounds like what i may focus on right now 8-)
