Hi everyone,

I am using a high-end Alienware laptop, booted up Star Wars Trilogy and everything was working well. I am also using the GUI for this and it was working OK until I shut down and restarted the GUI

Now I get the below message:

I've never seen this before. Is it possible some other process has been granted exclusive access to the audio device?

v0.2a is old.
Try downloading a newer version from the forum.

Better still build your own version with Bart's instructions....

https://www.supermodel3.com/BuildInstructionsWindows.html

This will guarantee the build works on your PC

Longtime listener, first time caller.

I recently experienced the very same issue and it was driving me crazy. Everything was working fine for me until I tried playing Star Wars Trilogy Arcade last night. I got the very same error in the log.

I'm using Intel Display Audio via display port into my monitor and the 3.5mm output from my monitor to a soundbar. As crazy as this sounds what worked for me was plugging in a pair of headphones so the Realtek audio was enabled. Once I plugged in a pair of headphones everything worked. I just have a 3.5mm extension cable I had lying around plugged into the headphone jack on the pc and now I'm playing in fullscreen with audio again.

I have no idea why this works, or what caused the issue. It is not Supermodel because I'm running the latest build and I was running the latest build before the issue appeared. YMMV.

I can confirm this behaviour. Using Version 0.3a-svn-882 with a Dell Vostro 3681 (win11), Connected to a HDMI TV.

PS C:\Emuladores\supermodel> .\Supermodel.exe ROMs\scud.zip -fullscreen -input-system=xinput
Supermodel: A Sega Model 3 Arcade Emulator (Version 0.3a-svn-882)
Copyright 2011-2021 by Bart Trzynadlowski, Nik Henson, Ian Curtis,
Harry Tuttle, and Spindizzi

Error: Multiple games found in 'ROMs\scud.zip' (scudau, scuddx, scudplus, scudplusa). Loading 'scudau'.
Title: Scud Race (Australia, Twin/DX)
ROM Set: scudau
Developer: Sega
Year: 1996
Stepping: 1.5
Extra Hardware: Digital Sound Board (Type DSB1), Drive Board, Net Board

Error: Unable to open 44.1KHz 2-channel audio with SDL: WASAPI can't find requested audio endpoint: Elemento não encontrado.

PS C:\Emuladores\supermodel>

If i plug the headphones on the computer, then it works just fine (with audio going over the headphones). If i remove the --fullscreen from command line, game starts just fine in windowed mode and sound is played over HDMI TV. As soon as i hit ALT+Enter, it goes fullscreen and game continues to run, but with no audio.
