Power PC Frequency values for each Model 3 game?
Posted: Wed Feb 05, 2020 7:34 pmThe Model 3 board had several revisions, and each new revision has higher CPU clock speed. However, not all the Model 3 used all the CPU power availiable. According to Sega Retro, Daytona USA 2 BotE and PE ran in the Step 2.1 revision, which had a CPU clock at 166 MHz. But these two games run at fun speed with just the default 49 MHz on Supermodel (at least on my PC).
Someone here had a problem with graphics glitches on Sega Rally 2, and other user sugested to bump the emulated CPU clock to 100 MHz as a way to fix. I had the same bugs on Sega Rally 2 at 49 MHz. And now, Fighting Vipers 2 runs at slowmotion (default 49 too) with a few bugs on 2D sprites. SR2 and FV2 were made for the Step 2.0 rev, which had the same 166 MHz clock. I want to know if someone already listed all the PowerPCFrenquency values for each of these Model 3 games.
