I had that game a while back, they did a good job with the remakes, still prefer the Model 3 versions though, Smoother Frame-rate & the Vivid Colors & i think a longer viewing distance & the giant Spider Alien which isn't in the Xbox version.

i think the dreamcast was going to have that final no matter the perfection of the model 3 games port would have been, if shenmue, and shenmue 2 couldnt change the way the dreamcast ended, i doubt any game would made it, also the dreamcast had a great catalogue of perfect naomi games port, and it wasnt enough

I always thought it was the xbox that sealed the dreamcast's fate. Microsoft took all the experience and ideas sega had used in their glory days and overtook Sega, using their own ideas against them.

I don't think the Dreamcast would have been able to run perfect ports of Model 3 games. But whether or not it would have increased the DC's lifespan is open for debate. Ultimately, I don't think anyone can say what it would have taken to increase the system's lifespan. Way too many variables involved.

VOOT is pretty much Arcade Perfect, only probably because they wanted to sell the Twin Sticks with it.

They did a terrible Job with Sega Rally 2

The DC was much, much more capable than Model 3 in all respects. If ports were sub-par, it was not because of the hardware, but probably a result of time constraints and lack of familiarity with the then-new PowerVR GPU.

At the end of the day they always have and always will make Arcade games look more polished and higher in detail, cause they're Commercial Product, everything that's commercial is better than home products. Rarely will they make them Arcade Perfect. I love the Naomi version of Crazy Taxi, looks better than the Dreamcast version, 18 Wheeler looks just as bad as the Dreamcast Version with the terrible background Pop Ups.
