I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this before, but upon selecting the boundary scan option in the testing menu out of curiosity, it said there were a whopping 20,652 errors.
What's strange is that the game works just fine, even though a real machine probably wouldn't even start with that many errors. Any explanation for this?
Boundary scan is totally unemulated and probably never will be. Boundary scan probes the pins of the various custom chips on the board and tests functionality that has no direct analog in emulation. Maybe someday we can return the "expected" values.
