Forum topics no longer accessible by non-members?

Hey, so I've noticed that you can now no longer access any of the threads in the forum unless you're logged in. In the past I've frequently directed people to some of the help threads here when they can't get something working or a new feature gets added (like the Le Mans FFB). Now they're telling me they can't access the forum as a non-member. I haven't seen any announcements about changes to the way the forum works, so was just curious as to whether this is a mistake or if not what the reasoning behind it is?

Bart actually created a thread saying that the Forum will be hidden for non-register users, but he didn't specify the reasons of that.

Here's the link of the forum post: https://supermodel3.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1675

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, I must've missed that post when it first came out.

Yeah I signed up specifically when this was enacted a few weeks ago. Solved many issues by reading through the boards as a non-member. Had to get approved but otherwise it was an easy process signing up and worth it.
