SCUD Race Expert Track And Daytona 2 Running Slow

Postby PUNKSTER93 » Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:56 pm

Hey Everybody this is my very first thread and my very first post and i just wanna say Hi!

Okay when playing scud race on expert track it really lags but the other tracks are fine. the lag however is even worst on daytona usa 2 where the "attract" and the gameplay is laggy but the car selection and track selection works fine.

I'm using my dad's computer to try out supermodel and get familiar with it because in the future i'm getting a new laptop which i hope is powerful enough for daytona usa 2. i set the PPC to 36-37 on scud race but i haven't fiddle the PPC on daytona 2

Here are his specs

Intel 2.4Ghz Duo Core
2gb
Geforce GTS 250
Windows 7 32-bit

Please help!

I'm guessing it's a simple matter of your PC being a bit too slow, unfortunately. I think Supermodel has difficulty with systems at 2.4GHz and below, particularly if you're running in 32-bit mode.

Thanks so much for the reply Bart!

Ok if I get a quad core processor with the same clock speed and a 64-bit os, Will it be better? Because I'm getting a new laptop so I can run Daytona 2

And I tried running the expert course again in scud race and it's running smoothly now. Maybe it's because I deactivate vsync on my gfx card but unfortunately Daytona 2 is still slow

It's impossible to say without seeing the full system specs. From personal experience I can say that a quadcore at 2.4ghz (in my case it was a Q6600) and 4GB of ram on an x86 system with a GTX 260 ran at 55-60fps. However, my overall advice would be, if you're intending to play games on a system, getting a laptop - unless it is a specific gaming laptop like this one, means it's going to struggle and you'll be left feeling disappointed.
