Also, it's quite possible that the DSB board has some command to route audio from one channel to both channels. That's not something you'll be able to fix with replacement MPEG files. If you look through the CDSB2 functions, you will see that there are commands that change volume and so forth. There is probably a command to control speaker selection that we are not aware of.

The squeak wasn't that file, I've been playing with loads of tunes since then :P

What it was about the short number, I had typed it in wrong. Noticed when another game (Daytona 2) shared the same address and played the wrong tune.

There's a squeaking problem in general in some songs. Not sure what causes it and I need to investigate at some point. It definitely has to do with looping. So many bugs so little time :)

Would you be able to change just one thing for this music hack? :) No rush, though.

Somehow just load files on a per-game basis? Doesn't seem like I can work around 2 games using the same address, unless there's already a way.

SEGA Words... :)
The squeaking problem doesn´t have to do with m1fx?
It does the same thing, MAME Devs maybe not fix that issue.
I can´t listen to the track inside of mame on is boot, just crash the emulator. :(

Still getting a squeak with everything. I must not have noticed it at first because the tracks were long, plus I was playing. But on testing with short files to hear the loop point, the nasty squeak is there whatever tune I replace. I'm positive it's not the files themselves. Also messed around with different bitrates, different compiler optimizations or not, a default supermodel.ini, changing Windows audio settings.. At a loss to what it is.

I thought I tried with m1 once and I did not notice the problem there.

Try using m1 on the demo music from Daytona USA 2 i heard the annoying squeaking.
If you didn´t notice, maybe it's bug of m1 or mame something is missing to make that noise.

Supermodel uses m1's port of the MPEG library. I'll have to look into it. There are a few things that could be wrong there.
