Mouse centering

Is it possible to configure the mouse like a joystick? So when for example in star wars when you load the next level the crosshair is always in the center position as if the joystick has recentred itself. This is annoying especially in light sabre fights.

Rats I better invest in a good joystick then.

Playing with the mouse is better overall. It's a bit tougher on the light saber sequences but the whole game is like 20 minutes long, so what's a little challenge? It takes all of 0.5 seconds to figure out how to center the mouse position before anything happens.

Boba Fett is easy. It's Vader that gives me trouble... Perhaps i'm not as strong as the emperor thought :(

Vader and Boba Fett are both easy, i have memorized the sequence of their attacks, and i can even beat them half asleep. Been playing this at an arcade in another city for like 6 week total time.

Let me put it another way. In an arcade you have a joystick that goes back to the center position. In Supermodel you don't, you have a mouse that is very fiddly that you have to move back to the center before you can slash Vader. Now do you see my problem?!

You can always just plug in a joystick and use that instead? You don't have to use the mouse if you don't want to (just change the input mappings). Or you could map both and use the mouse for the shooting parts and and switch to the joystick for the light sabre fights?

I can't really envisage an effective way of simulating auto-centering with a mouse, unless anyone has any bright ideas?

Cheers, Nik.

Actually I just managed to beat Vader, I didn't realise you had to move the crosshair twice to slash. Nevertheless this centering might be a good idea if you consider that on joystick games, when you let go it goes back to a default position.
