I made a mistake

I meant to say star wars uses inverted controls, not the lost world

Star wars uses a joy stick, and it's really common for flight games to use inverted controls

Aaaah ok,

for information, in swtrilgy games, the controls can be inverted (or not) in service menu setting the arcade cabinet type (deluxe cab, normal cab etc...)
I can't find this option in lost world

Thanks it help a little, but i still need a .dat or a .xml to read in my clrmamepro, because it help a lot more my organized set. Please if you can, or ask mame devs to change is database in the next version.

Open up Games.xml -- it should be pretty self-descriptive. You'll notice different ROM sections. Typically, different revisions of a game will share the same MPEG ROMs, so if they're missing, you just need to add the appropriate lines of XML to the game definition.

Ah, more straightforward than I thought then - I thought this involved some kind of painstaking detective work by Spindizzi figuring out which bits of which ROM you needed to swap out between the games to get one of the other versions working.

i am using r775 and the games.xml file it came with

trying to add ffb to lemans24
normally it uses "epr-18261.ic9" (can be found in stcc rom set for example) from model 2 driveboard hardware but not working at this time (troubles with ffb commands)
but for test purpose because this is not the real emulation, you can easily replace this rom by "epr-19338a.bin" from scud race
you need to update and add "epr-18261.ic9" and/or "epr-19338a.bin" inside your rom set and edit games.xml to suit your choice
I suspect M2 driveboard hardware to be the first revision of the M3 drive board hardware (same irq, same memory mapping/address, same commands ....), this is why we can easily switch them in Supermodel

if i correctly understood what you meant,i can either use the epr-19338a.bin file from scud or the epr-18261.ic9 from sega touring..right ?
i added the file from scud again but it doesn't work and i suspect the games.xml file is to blame
it is clearly trying to load different roms from different games (?!)

check if your games.xml is up to date

edit your games.xml in lemans24 part
(warning, you must respect xml format)

for use normal ffb rom (stcc model2) (not working)

well,i know for sure that my lemans rom is fine because it is the one i have been using for months and worked until i updated supermodel from 755 to 775
also,if i try to use the "old" rom in 775,the system clearly complains about one missing file only and nothing else

i tried adding the file from scud and those were the errors i was getting (the ones i mentioned in my previous post)

i also asked for clarification about your original message,because it wasn't 100% clear (to me at least) if only one extra file was needed (either scud or touring) or both
still a little confusing if i'm being honest because you added both files to the lemans zip but then it seems like you're going to be using only one (depending on how you edit the manifest)

anyway,i wanted to try again by adding the touring file (and because the error message is complaining about epr-18261.bin after all) but..surprise,the stcc zip i found doesn't include that file
i will now look for the latest mame roms,i guess it was probably changed / added recently
