How take screenshots?

Postby peppe » Mon Feb 27, 2012 5:04 pm

Hi, first of all thank you very very much for your work with supermodel3 emulator.

Scud Race is simply the best arcade racing of my life.

I have some little question.

There is a command to take hires screenshot ingame with supermodel3?

I see some yours youtube movies. How can I record a session with emulator?

There is a way to run it in 16:9?

I repeat: you are a kind of heroes, this emulator is a treasure for every gamer. ;)

There is currently no dedicated screenshot command. Maybe in the future we'll add one since people keep requesting it. Not a high priority right now. You can take screenshots in windowed mode using PrintScreen or Alt-PrintScreen to copy to the clipboard and paste in your favorite image editor. This won't work in full screen mode (Windows doesn't know about the OpenGL frame buffer, apparently). For now, you can use FRAPS or some other utility for that. FRAPS also records video. I don't know of any good free alternatives for Windows but on UNIX systems, there are some open source tools like glc.

Oh fraps, I forgot it!

Yes, screen and movie aren't priority, you're right, infact I simply ask if there were some options.

Is only my impression or poligon/effect detail are high on real Model 3?

I remember that curves over the wheels of cars, where more rounded. It is only a joke of time?

I know Model 3 draw rectangular polygons, where console and PC use triangular ones. It affect result of game emulated in some way or not?

A combination of the passage of time and the low resolution monitor Scud Race was running on :) The geometry Supermodel renders is the same as the original machine.

Nope. Internally a quad is just two triangles. The Real3D Pro-1000 supported quads and the sharing of neighboring vertices among quads and triangles to conserve space, I reckon. The number of vertices (and therefore what you perceive to be the level of detail) is the same regardless of how the quad is actually rasterized.
