IIRC, sound volume and music volume controls only work when there is a DSB board, otherwise there is no mixing balance between the two to adjust and if only the SCSPs are present, they should output at 100% volume.

@njz3

Wow you work fast. The test build sounds pretty damn good to me. You even have Lemans responding. Good work :D

Hi Bart,
In the current code, the sound volume parameter is applied in the DSB code, that explains why the parameter has no influence when DSB board is not present. What was the purpose of this design choice ?
Would you be ok if sound volume parameter is applied to SCSP, whatever the DSB board is present or not?

The purpose was just to allow degrees of freedom to balance DSB and SCSP audio. I felt it wasn't necessary to have it applied to SCSP alone because speaker volume would be sufficient. But maybe for consistency, it makes sense to do so.

Yes I did, also tried speakers directly in windows speaker config app.

The only software where it was reversed was supermodel (even tested in daytona test menu), but like I said I did a workaround. Didn't think I'd be the only one having that behavior.

Are you or did you ever use Supermodel3UI ?
Ages ago I tried Supermodel3UI and noticed it turns on stereo flip by default. I think it turned on a few unnecessary things and added them to Supermodel.ini.
You'll often notice users posting their log files will have stereo flip on.

Hi guys. So, what is the recommended PowerPCFrequency these days, particularly for Scud Race and Daytona 2, for the latest SM Builds?

that's the refresh rate, he was asking the emulated cpu freq
100Mhz it is enough for both scud and daytona
