Bug report

Postby Professor Jones » Thu Jun 28, 2012 10:13 am

I did not find a thread for bug reports, so here are two problems I encountered. If there is a more appropriate place for this post, feel free to move it.

-Usually I can run daytona 2 smoothly, but sometimes when I launch it, it runs slightly slower and the framerate is noticeably lower. Closing it and re-launching sometimes cures that problem. I did not identify what causes this, and I don't have anything heavy running in background when this happens.

-When I get a time over while the car is on the grass (or any other surface that makes the wheel shake), the shaking effect doesn't stop, even when I start a new game.

Not sure about the first one but I think others have reported similar problems. Perhaps it is something to do with threading, the video drivers, and resource allocation under particular Windows configurations. I've experienced the second problem but I'm not very knowledgeable about the drive board code. The problem is either an unknown drive board command or some issue with PowerPC/drive board communication.
