Gettin the cheats via hacking the RAM address to work leds to some of the cutting room floor into the game:
ex. Mitsuyoshi's voice saying "Challenge" in PE, Hornet car in BOTE, and even a cut Select Screen that lets you choose between Normal Mode and Tournament Mode which lets you enter the social security number and changing the setting of the car (ala Daytona GTX Hack of the first game). These are all evidenced in the sound tests if you try to do so, you will hear any of the unused sounds in the game

Today I located 3 addresses for char selection of Spikeout FE. I found that each char was assigned to a digit as previously thought:

Spike = 0
White = 1
Linda = 2
Tenshin = 3

However, these bits were for char selection ONLY. If the bits were locked, odd result would appear like the picture, but only 1 char would really be selected. So what happened if the number is > 3 ? I tried 4 and the game crashed. Thus I conclude that no other hidden char could be used normally in Spikeout FE, or in Daytona 2.

Can you do the same thing with Virtua Fighter 3 to play as Dural in the Arcade Version?

It's done.

Akira = 0,14,15
Pai = 1
Lau = 2
Wolf = 3
Jeffry = 4
Kage = 5
Dural(1) = 6
Sarah = 7
Jacky = 8
Shun = 9
Lion = 10
Aoi = 11
Taka-Arashi = 12
Dural(2) = 13

I think this character Dural was originally designed to be playable, so it doesn't cause crash, which happens to Akuma in SFZ series.

perfect, then I'm assuming that daytona2 cars (16) may be used because they are playable. http://www.supermodel3.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=375

thanks lum225jp

Gentlemen, start your HORNET!

Car code for Daytona 2 BOTE :
Easy Chums car = 0
Normal SCORPIO car = 1
Hard IMPULSE car = 2
Hidden HORNET car = 3

If car type > 3, the polygon would be in a mass, but the car is still playable.
HORNET is fully playable in BOTE, and its maximum speed is a question mark!

How bout the hidden Mode Select where you have to choose between Tournament and Normal mode which can be heard in the sound test?

Here are the all modes listed, including selectable and hidden modes.
I guess the modes are nearly 255 ones, of which meaninglessly differ in lap numbers.
As to the Tournament Mode that you mentioned, I'm not sure which one is. Maybe there is no Tournament Mode, or all the xxx Miles GRS Modes are Tournament Modes?

F91E182 = Coin
2A001E0 = Mode

Mode Types :
0 = Normal (Sprint)
1 = Grand Prix
2 = 100 Miles
3 = 200 Miles
4 = 300 Miles
5 = 400 Miles
6 = 500 Miles
7 = 600 Miles GRS
8 = 4 Miles GRS
9 = 20 Miles GRS
10 = 45 Miles GPS
11 = 89 Miles GRS
12 = 134 Miles GRS
13 = 178 Miles GRS
14 = 223 Miles GRS
15 = 267 Miles GRS
16 = 02/00/00 Miles GRS
17 = 10/420/420 Miles GRS
18 = 18/00/00 Miles GRS
19 = 35/420/420 Miles GRS
20 = 53/00/00 Miles GRS
21 = 70/420/420 Miles GRS
etc...

And apparently the BOTE version also has a massive hood scoop:
