Good things come to those who wait ;) For those who are not able to build from SVN, don't worry. The new lighting effects and 2D graphics are still a major work-in-progress and these are really small details when compared with v0.2a. It'll look all the better when it's ready for a release (no, I don't know when that will be, probably not soon).

This thread bears good news! Really awesome to see the improvements to Daytona 2.

The shaders aren't in SVN yet. I don't think they're ready.

Daytona 2 Missing Textures Found.

I'm not planning on fixing this any time soon and a truly correct fix (which would also eliminate the other texture glitches in the process) won't happen until the engine is rewritten. This is just research and will not appear in SVN. However, it is an important find that solves the big mystery of where those textures were in the first place (right under our noses, it turns out!) It will help us develop a fix at some point in the near to medium-term future.
