I found the problem, it's Supermodel UI dosen´t work.
Thanks. ;)

Yes, I said :) It likes to delete things from there, including that line. But if you don't touch the settings it'll be fine.

I notice the speed dial lines up perfectly on the real model3 hardware (on harley). But in supermodel I can't get it to line up. Either the 2d code is off a bit? Is that possible?
Or there is something we are doing wrong with the viewport maths

I can't think of any obvious reason the 2D code would be wrong but maybe horizontal scrolling is not implemented correctly? Is horizontal scrolling used?

I got a better idea. I read Supermodel 3 on Emu Loader, inside of the Supermodel\el804-bin\emulator_ini\supermodel_ini on Emu Loader we add New Engine = 1 to the new .ini :D
Don´t change the config.
It works!

I actually think the (sub) viewports are too small. This is most noticably in emergency call ambulance, as you can see the background around the patient viewport.
Wondering if the viewport resolution has a mod 2 or 4 requirement ? I shall investigate :)

One interesting use case of viewports, I think, is when you place in the top 3 in Scud Race. The viewport shrinks to half the width of the screen to make room for scrolling credits. It appears to work fine but it's an important case to keep in mind if you want to test out different logic.

Bart have a peak at

Image

Look at the dial bottom right. The alignment is broken somehow. I've tried all sorts of rounding, mod 2/4/8 with regards to the viewport calculation but can't seem to fix it.

ECA has the same bug. Is it possible its the 2d code?

So the good news is that I finally compiled Supermodel (r313), I kept making a stupid mistake and nothing was working. Anyway, the bad news is that the Sega Rally 2 sound bug is still there so it's just the same as a build from anywhere else. Unless I'm still doing something wrong..

If I build the debug version it's gone but runs a lot slower.
