Have you checked the logitech control panel? If steering looks good there then supermodel should behave correctly by default, unless you have set it up as digital left and right rather than analog in supermodel config?

Thats confirm what i want to explain but in english it's not easy cause it technical terms

Add this line in the .ini

InputJoy1XDeadZone = 15 ( if your whell are joy1 ( x= x axis ))

All work great it'awesome
And 100 in all parameter force feedback

Hi bandicoot,

Glad you got it working properly in the end :-)! Interesting that increasing the dead zone fixed it for you. I suspect that calibrating the axis in Supermodel would have fixed it too. It sounds like your wheel might not be centered properly? Anyway, I think we might have to start making a list of optimal force feedback settings for each type of wheel...

Just one question - do you still have the imbalance in the left and right forces like RetroRepair was seeing with his L2M2 setup? You can tell if you have by going into the service menu of Scud Race or Daytona 2 and in the drive board test menu selecting 'Roll Left' or 'Roll Right' - if the forces don't feel the same in both directions then something is up. If you do still have this problem, then let me know and I can send you a version of Supermodel that lets you set the left and right strengths independently so that you can compensate for the imbalance. Alternatively you can just wait for the updated version 0.21a of Supermodel that we'll be releasing sometime soon.

Thanks, Nik.

I think all Driving Force wheels are like this. Both the one attached to my L2M2 and my stock wheel are the same.

What is the correct way to put '-input-system=xinput' in the config file? I looked through the ReadMe but couldn't find it.

(So I do not have to add that string every time I launch the game)

You can't set the input system in the config file.

Code: Select all
Wim:supermodel Wim$ ./supermodel daytona2.zip -input-system=xinput

Supermodel: A Sega Model 3 Arcade Emulator (Version 0.2a)

Error: Ignoring unrecognized option: -input-system=xinput

Is the x-input option Windows only? Does that mean Force Feedback is also?

Yep, check the README. No force feedback or alternate input systems on non-Windows platforms. With the Mac OS X XBox pad driver, you should be fine (but no FF).
