Yeahs its another one of those threads about controls issues haha!
Every little issue I've had, i've been able to check here or google for a solution. Except now that is. Here's the prob, AFAIK for any of these racing type games you have to go into the game's test menu and go to 'volume assignments' to calibrate the controls. For some reason Sega put the calibrate menu on the inside of this volume assisngment menu. You see it a lot in the Naomi and Atomiswave menu.
Anyway I can get into the VA to calibrate the controls but it doesn't save the settings. After I exit the 'volume assignments' after clicking by selecting 'exit with save' I re-enter the VA menu and notice that the Min Neutral and MAx numbers are all 80H. For my setup 80H is the neutral value, 00 is MIN and FF is MAX. I will calibrate each control (steering, gas, brake) and it will show the correct values but it won't save after clicking on exit with save.
I've deleted my eca.nvram (or whatever the exact file is called) but that doesn't help. I apologize for a lengthy post but I'm hoping I can fix it and definitely could use your help. For the record in the normal input menu, the controls act normal. For example the steering wheel (flightstick) is at 80H and I can move it left and right and get the correct values. When I play the game the ambulance just does donuts. Daytona 2, Scud, Lemans etc all work fine. I've ran the normal calibration test menu (the one that takes you through the command prompt) which is why my other racing games work fine. So basically I'm out of ideas and frikkin clueless.
