swtrilgy and swtrilgya (Bug Report)

Postby Outrunner » Wed Sep 28, 2011 11:41 pm

Okay so we know that we have our Star Wars Trilogy which is recognized by Supermodel as "swtrilgy" in this version of SWT the test menu does not work.
Then we have the other version of SWT which is recognized by Supermodel as "swtrilgya" (this version had lots of missing files in it but i copied the missing files from swtrilgy) and guess what the test menu DOES WORK in this version, the only downside is that for some reason the game seems to be running at half-speed.

So if anyone wants something with the test menu the most viable solution is :
Get swtrilgya -> enter test menu -> make your settings -> rename the swtrilgya.nv file to swtrilgy.nv and voila you just changed swtrilgy's options.

I spent a little time ( a whole night ) tracking bugs and testing settings and I couldn't make swtrilgy go in test menu or swtrilgya go fullspeed.
Conclusion: I am suspecting that swtrilgy might be a bad dump, the files in swtrilgya being the correct ones. Now why swtrilgya runs halfspeed f*** if I know.

P.S: The games have all been tested with a PPC Frequency of 100 Mhz and inc/decreasing the value did not help swtrilgya reach fullspeed.

swtrilgya is a newer revision of swtrilgy. They're both good dumps.

Then it's simply a matter of different bugs in the same emulator.

Using the 64-bit version of supermodel .2 with swtrilgy.zip, the program runs swtrilgya.zip and the nv file was already renamed. The game locks up for me still when entering test mode. I enter test mode using button "6" on the keyboard.
