Is it me or MPEG music doesn't fade in Supermodel?

In the real boards, the MPEG music fades before the scene ends. In Supermodel, the music continues until the scene where the game initializes another song or other sound effect. Since Sega Rally 2 music has been fixed, what causes the issue that the music still keeps on going even after the scene ends?
