I've increased the framerate with the PowerPC frequency on the front-end to 50Hz, but that doesn't seem to help. I run Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, for your concerns about OS. Anyways, I'm done complaining about this!
For Scud Race, I would try dropping the PPC clock to 35 MHz. The next version ought to improve performance thanks to Nik's recent recent work (putting the rendering in a separate thread). Any further discussion of your system should be moved to a separate forum thread in 'The Fitting Room'.
Anyway, are we expecting to see the PowerPC and the IRQ timers clocked properly in the next version of Supermodel? And as well as a full-tuned SCSP core?
I don't know. This thread and/or the 'What's New' page will be updated as I make progress. I can tell you already that a full-tuned SCSP core is unlikely any time soon. All of these things you've listed are an enormous amount of work. I haven't even had time this winter break to start on a dynamic recompiler, let alone all these other things. I've spent some time investigating graphical problems with Step 2.x games but no breakthroughs yet, I'm afraid.
