DAYTONA USA 2 FULL SPEED 60 FPS 4 PLAYERS

Postby dreamcash » Fri Apr 23, 2021 12:46 pm

Hello everybody

Since one month, daytona usa 2 can be use with 2 players mode at full speed

I set up 4 PC to make local LAN for 4 players mode with daytona USA 2 (I5 processeur, GT 1030 graphic card)

my result :

1 Player : 60 fps full speed
2 Players : 40 fps normal speed
3 players : 25 fps low speed
4 players : 15 fps very slow speed

I download the last revision r860 with the lastest network solution

Somebody have a solution to make 4 players mode at 60 fps full speed like one player ?

Some developers around here ?

Are you using the simulated net board mode?

Yes I use no thread line command to launch each game

I find a solution : in the config file I found power Pc frequency 75, I deleted this line

2P mode is ok at 60 fps

But for 3 and 4 Players its only 30 fps and the framerate is shutdown sometimes

Somebody test with 4 different PC with 860 r version ? with new network solution ?

You don't need "-no-thread" with the simulated netboard as far as I know.

Are you using 4 different PCs or are you running 4 copies of Supermodel on the same PC?

I can confirm that -no-threads is not required when using the simulated netboard.

I just tried running four linked instances on the same PC with PowerPC frequency set to 75 MHz and multithreading disabled and it still ran at nearly full speed. It sounds like you might have significant latency between each of the machines; what's the ping time between each PC? It should be no more than 4ms or so to get 4 machines running at full speed.

You could try running with vsync disabled (VSync=0 in Supermodel.ini or -no-vsync in the command line); I don't think it should affect performance but it's worth a shot.

Hello

I Use 4 different PC with the same configuration, (I5 4500 and Geforce GT 1030, 8go ram) wifi 300mps

So for me 2 Players network work fine at 60 FPS with some lag sometimes

For 3 and 4 Players, It's only 30 FPS for now.

I continue to search solution

Its the same thing ofr daytona USA 2 and Scud race...

Just to confirm, can you paste the contents of your Supermodel.log after one of these sessions here?
