That's what I was hoping to find out. Looking at the official site and forum, the developer(s) might be taking a break from Demul, although I'm unsure if it's permanent or temporary ^^"
I'm just afraid that interest will die out, since these games are nearly (or already) TWENTY years old. In my opinion, some of these games are too good to be forgotten, like Brave Firefighters or Planet Harriers. Then again, these games by themselves might not be particularly interesting to everyone. And like Mr. Thunderwing said, it's possible to emulate some of these games and play them to completion, so it might not even be necessary to meticulously reverse engineer such complicated hardware.

MetalliC, one of the DEMUL developers, is a member of this forum so maybe if this thread catches his eye he might be able to say what the state of play with DEMUL is (having said that though, I haven't seen him post anything around here for quite a long time). Of all the Hikaru games, I'd just like the emulation on Star Wars Racer to get a little bit better, I'm not really super-fussed about most of the others.
