Hey everyone my system is already built. Here's my system specs

Intel i3-4170 @3.7GHZ
GeForce GT 730
8GB
Windows 10 64 bit
MSI H81M P-33

I haven't test my system yet but i'm going to play Daytona 2 and SCUD Race using Ian's 3D engine. I'm assume my CPU is fast enough to run the engine along with some 3D games on MAME.

Plus CPU usage is lower this time around 30%. Better than my other two computers with the worst performance.

I almost forgot to tell everyone that i just upgraded both my GPU last year and my CPU a few months ago. The reason why i chosen an i5-4590(3.3 GHz,3.7 turbo)because it's a quad core. Most modern emulators will take advantage on multiple cores such as MAME and Demul. I know you probably thinking why Ferrarifan upgraded his CPU and GPU for one year. It hasn't been a couple of years to upgrade. So i went shopping for parts online, my main primary focus is what's the fastest and the cheapest Processor in the market. So i did some research and i found this i3-4170,3.7 GHz which is around $128. I didn't get the i5 due to the prices being to high. So later on, i have enough money around sometime in March and brought a used i5-4590 on Ebay and luckily is around $78. I was like, wow, i need to get this now before is sold out. Even though i made a smart decision not to buy something overpriced, i still think it's worth it. For Demul, I went from dual to quad because the Naomi Multiboard emulation requires a beffy CPU because each time you start a Naomi Multiboard game will open multiple windows and will tax your CPU to play the game at full speed. Plus MAME is also another emulator that i experienced some slowdown on some games powered by 3D hardware but, A big difference with my new CPU. An i5 is something I'll never regret. :)

My new updated PC Specs

CPU i5-4590,3.3 GHZ(3.7 Turbo boost)
GPU Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 2GB

hmm
if there's one emulator that doesn't really benefit from loads of cores is mame
demul is pretty much the same thing - maybe slightly less but single thread performance is still the #1 culprit for slowdowns and dips, specially in those dreamcast CE games
no idea about "Naomi Multiboard emulation" but still..
of course,rpcs3,xenia and really recent emulators do require loads of cores but mame and demul..not so much

also, that gpu is quite entry level but i guess it's enough for supermodel
it will definitely prevent you from upscaling stuff / playing stuff at really high resolutions though
not a big deal at all if you ask me but some people want to upscale everything to 437k
but what about pc games ? an older 950-960 would have been a lot better for probably just 10-20 bucks more ?
maybe you didn't have a psu for those power hungry cards

personally,i always prefer to wait and buy older "mid / high end" stuff at cheaper prices instead of buying more recent low-ish / mid stuff
i think that in the end it is always a better idea
